ABSTRACT

Data-rich projects that require use of technology provide an effective way to develop students' understanding of different functions and mathematical techniques needed to solve real-world problems. Project topics include modeling height from bone length, predicting the population of an endangered species, and projecting the current economic downturn from housing starts data.
