ABSTRACT

Spreadsheet modeling and Excel Solver can be used in solving optimization problems in an introductory Operations Research course. This is especially useful for students with less mathematics skills. Linear and Nonlinear programming problems from different areas such as manufacturing, transportation, and financial planning are discussed.
