ABSTRACT

This session will include descriptions and demonstrations of codeword construction and bit error correction in codes including Hadamard, Reed-Muller (as used in the Mariner space probes), Hamming, BCH, and Reed-Solomon (as used in the Voyager satellites and on CDs and DVDs).
