ABSTRACT

A pilot project addresses deficiencies in algebra and trigonometry background, very common among our calculus students. Our approach involves a combination of diagnostic tests, and on-line tutorial modules. These modules, which use ThomsonNOW environment, are assigned selectively based on the student's identified areas of weakness.
