ABSTRACT
Use of computer lab exercises can extensively enrich learning experiences in statistics courses. The use of computers allows us to utilize larger, richer data sets relevant to students' experiences, and to provide visual explanations of key concepts, such as sampling distributions. In this paper, I present motivation for these lab exercises, examples of student experiences, and suggestions for implementation and assessment of these computer activities.Keyword(s): statistics, computer algebra systems, software
