ABSTRACT

The University of Hartford Mathematics Department has used the free, Internet-based, interactive homework system WeBWorK for the past ten years, resulting in increased homework completion and a rise in faculty-student interactions through email and office hours. This paper focuses on useful problem types and problem modifications for calculus and precalculus courses that require the TI-89 graphing calculator as well as other features that allow for creative pedagogical enhancements.
