ABSTRACT

This two-year project, funded by the National Science Foundation's Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE-9252491), addresses reform of the mathematics curriculum, particularly in calculus and precalculus, by incorporating the use of graphics and symbolic manipulation calculators to enhance teaching and learning following the Clemson model. The eleven members of the current Consortium include two-year colleges: Union County College, Essex County College, Ocean County College, Camden County College, Raritan Valley Community College, County College of Morris, and Montgomery County Community College (PA); one private four-year college: Saint Peter's College; and three high schools: Immaculata High School, Linden High School, and Monmouth Regional High School. Both Hewlett-Packard and Texas Instruments supported the project with discount prices and donations of equipment.

For this poster session, the project activities will be described in print and pictures on the poster. A workbook containing materials developed by the group will be available. The Project Director will be available to answer questions.
