ABSTRACT

Assessment has various purposes. Is it for grading and sorting students? Is it for encouraging learning? The answer is yes to both, but when both technology and students' skills are evolving so rapidly, then assessment style must also evolve to ensure it continues to fulfill these objectives. In this paper we describe some of our experiences with changing assessment styles during the ongoing T-TIME project (http://www.shu.ac.uk/maths/).
