ABSTRACT

When students use a graphing calculator to do concavity problems, they often succeed easily. So they are not eager to learn the theory. I have found many exercises in the normal curriculum which are easy to do by hand yet extremely hard to do by a graphing calculator, especially for a beginning student who wants to use the calculator to do his work.
