Mathematics Learning Center

A useful way to view the computer-based materials is from the vantage point of the student. For example, consider a student enrolled in a Calculus 2 course who is having trouble with a particular background topic from Calculus 1. Perhaps the student recognized this on his or her own, or perhaps a teacher has instructed the student to review the topic, based on in-class or out-of-class information, or performance on a quiz or exam. A major component of the Mathematics Learning Center (MLC) is designed for precisely this situation.

The student enters the Center, signs in, receives information as needed from the student supervisor / tutor, and chooses from the following services which the Center provides :

Most of the MLC materials listed above need no explanation; only the interactive computer modules will be described in this paper
