The Insolvability of The Quintic and Its Implication to Technology |

The proof of the insolvability of the general quintic equation is summarized, as given by group theory. Since no classical radical solution exists, we outline numerical solutions, like Newton's method, and direct graphing, and mention hypergeometric functions, and Hermite's method using elliptic modular functions.
