A Center for Computational Sciences (CCS) has been created within the College of Sciences at Old Dominion University to serve
  • the university community,
  • Hampton Roads,
  • and the nation beyond,
  • in
  • performing computationally intensive research,
  • training computational researchers, and
  • making the fruits of its research - scientific results, software, and expertise - available to others.

  • Below you will find information on

  • The origins of the CCS
  • How faculty may affiliate with the CCS
  • How degree candidates may obtain certification by the CCS
  • How student applicants may obtain recommendations from the CCS
  • How external agencies may contact the CCS
  • The resources of the CCS
  • The leadership of the CCS
  • Current sponsored projects in the CCS
  • Future plans for the CCS
  • How the CCS fits into the international Computational Science & Engineering program context
